NSWIS Para-Archer Jonathan Milne has shot a world record score at the National Archery Championships for able-bodied athletes, in Morewell, Victoria.
In addition to securing the able-bodied national title in Men’s Compound, Milne shot a 1394, beating the previous long-standing Para Compound World Record of 1392, held by Korean Lee Ouk Soo since 2009.
The world record score is awaiting confirmation.

Today was one of those days when almost everything went my way, except an unexpected 7 at 90m. I was lucky enough to take the win in the National 90/1440 Target Championship by just 2 points and also waiting for confirmation on a new Para 90/1440 World Record. All my gear performed perfectly as expected and I’m looking forward to the rest of the tournament. Congrats to Danie, Steve and Adam for pushing me and making me work for it all day. @shrewdarchery @goldtiparrows @psebows @black_gold_sights @q2iarchery @hamskeaarchery @rhythm_bowstring @vortexoptics @nswinstituteofsport @aus_para_archery @archeryaust
