NSWIS divers Melissa Wu and Matthew Mitcham are in the box seat for an Olympic berth following the Olympic nomination trials in South Australia.

Wu finished first in the women’s 10 metre platform event finished with a combined score of 1065.15 to take out the title, ahead of fellow NSWIS athlete Alexandra Croak who finished third with a combined score of 1062.45.

"It has been a very stressful competition so far and I am very happy to win this final today," Wu said following the victory.

Meanwhile, Mitcham proved why he is the current Olympic champion showcasing precision diving to take out the men’s 10m platform on the final day of competition.

Returning from injury, Mitcham scored perfect tens in his fifth dive of the final, finishing with a combined score of 1514.85, unquestionably putting doubt in the mind of his competitors ahead of the London Games.

"I am very pleased with my result here today. It is the first time since my injury last year that I have dived with no pain" said Mitcham.Wu then teamed up with fellow NSWIS athlete Alex Croak in the women’s 10m synchronised platform, with the duo finishing second.

Wu, Croak and Mitcham will now have to wait until late June when the Australian diving team is announced before packing their bags for London.
