NSWIS diver Melissa Wu has enjoyed near perfect preparation for the 2014 Commonwealth Games by winning bronze at the prestigious FINA World Cup over the weekend.

Competing in the women’s 10m platform, Wu secured the bronze medal with a score of 349.50 to finish behind the Chinese duo of Huang Xiaohui and Liu Huixia. The NSWIS athlete then teamed with compatriot Rachel Bugg to place fourth in the women’s synchronised 10m platform, just under four points from bronze.

Joining Wu in competition was NSWIS athlete Esther Qin, who finished 16th in the women’s 3m springboard. Qin will make her Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow when the Games kick off this week.
